Great fish and chips. Well maid with generous potions. Think cut fish and golden chips. I stop in every time I pass through Napanee. Staff is great and very welcoming to travelers. They make you feel like a local. If your looking for a place to grab a bite on your travels definitely skip the fast food locations near by and hit this place up.

This is a small gem of a Fish and Chip shop. No complains, always good eats, fantastic fries.

Looked up reviews of Mr Chips and read only positive things. When driving up to the restaurant the outside appearance almost made us drive away but took a chance and went in . We were so glad we did because the service and the fish and chips with caesar salad were the best we have had almost everywhere we have traveled to around Ontario . We will be making a special trip shortly from Georgetown for more of that wonderful fish !!

If you like fish and chips then you must go there.Prices are great and so reasonable for the serving you get. If you can eat it all. Any drive is worth the flavour,price and serving size and service. Not only do they have great fish and chips, but the rest of the menu is just as great.

The best fish and chips in all the greater Kingston area, it was the first place we visited after the Corona virus lock down, 4 1/2 months without seeing our favourite staff and the best food.

Always have great fries there the fish depending on what day you go can vary from very good to almost store-bought packaged.

This is by far the BEST place to go for lunch/ dinner. Right off the 401, Clean washrooms , family friendly , kids menu, and lots of choices. Restaurant is clean and lots of parking. Have been here a few times - always get the Halibut and chips. The fish is cooked to absolute perfection and delicious each and every time. The portions are ENORMOUS and I promise you will not leave hungry- you will however probably leave with some of your meal you simply couldn’t finish. Cook(s) and wait staff very friendly and pleasant. Service is fast, food is hot and fresh and this place simply cannot be beat. Will be back!!

After a long and hot day exploring Prince Edward County, my friend and I wanted a quiet place close by our motel to grab a bite to eat. Nothing fancy ... just good food and service in a quiet environment. Mister Chips was situated next to the motel we stayed at, so we could walk there. We were not disappointed. We both had the haddock fish & chips plate and it was great eating. And the service was awesome ... friendly faces. And no loud music boring into our ear drums. Our kind of place to visit when you are hot, tired and hungry.

Best fish & chips I've ever had. The staff is nice, take-out is quick. The portions are huge, the fish is delicious -- not a heavy batter, but crispy and light, not really greasy. Homemade skin-on fries. Delicious gravy ... just go. You won't regret it.

Absolutely the best fish and chips ever. All the love in this place goes to the food (and not the ambience), but the service is always friendly. No trip to anywhere in eastern Ontario is complete without a stop here. If you stopped in Napanee to go to the Avril Lavigne museum, don’t, because it’s terrible but do go here.

Food is super good especially Halibut. Awesome serving sizes.Customer service is not that great. Not always the friendliest. Ive only been here during the pandemic so they are probably having a hard time adjusting.

Fish and chips done to perfection! I prefer fish and salad (see photo with left side of fish already eaten before I stopped to take a pic). Crispy, light batter and very generous portions of tender, delicious, fresh fish make this THE place to enjoy fish as it should be served. The restuarant is clean, simple, uncomplicated and knows it's wonderful purpose! All staff there are tremendously efficient, friendly and accommodating. For those travelling along the 401, this is a fantastic restaurant, just one minute north of the highway and very easy to find (Napannee exit). I give Mr. Chips my very highest recommendation!
